The Building
Regulations are a set of minimum building standards, which provide
acceptable levels of health and safety for people in and around buildings.
The regulations are becoming evermore complex and are constantly being
revised. It is not unusual these days for some practitioners not to do the
detailed drawings, calculations and notes and we are often contacted to
step in when somebody else has failed to provide a satisfactory level of
service.
This is probably
because the amount of information that needs to be provided is of such a
quantity and complexity and takes an inordinate amount of time and
knowledge.
One of our
particular advantages is that we employ our own structural engineer
in-house and this has the benefit that potential pitfalls can be discussed
and solved early on in the design process.
Our detailed
building regulation drawings include all the structural engineer’s
details and supporting calculations, comprehensive notes, measurements and
basic specification.

More difficult,
unusual or critical elements are presented with highly detailed large
scale drawings.
