Lots of people are
converting their attics into living space. This can sometimes almost
double the floor area of a bungalow. We design our fair share of loft
conversions though a surprising number of them involve taking the existing
roof off and replacing it with new attic trusses.

This often works
out cheaper and if there is a possibility of adding gable ends at the same
time, then the useable space can be vastly expanded.

Loft conversions
are not cheap today, partly due to the high insulation and engineering
costs associated with current building standards. We have established a
valuable relationship with a local timber frame company that expertly does
this type of work for us.
