The 2 bedroomed terrace example shown below was in need of complete renovation.
It required an extra bedroom without adding additional area. An article on this conversion featured in Self Build and design's July 2004 issue.

This old fuel store was a wet and gloomy place, yet the owners saw its potential for conversion into a home working space for its physiotherapist owner.

DAMP
DARK
MISERABLE
It is tiny in scale and had
serious collapse in the walls. It is situated right next to a stream and had been neglected over the years. Local builders restored the structure and wonderful oversized timber has been used in the roof.
It now has lots of light and high white ceilings.

BEAUTIFUL
The upper roof space has a platform area for storage purposes. Suitably insulated with the latest materials and lovely oak doors with opening windows in them make for a fun, cosy and relaxed place to work.

HAPPY
CHARMING
Congratulations to the builders John Lane and Ron Ryder on a piece of
art.
This darling little Dorset cottage got a sympathetic makeover and increase in size from Company 25 who specialise in this sort of project. We did the plans and design and they did the rest. A full story on this project can be found on their website at
